Olivier (ing. PRT, Ph.D.), is Assistant Professor at Université de Sherbrooke (Qc, Canada). He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (2013, Sherbrooke) and an M.Sc. in Transportation Acoustics (2006, Le Mans, France). He has over 25 years of experience in acoustics/vibration research and development at various positions [technician (2002-04), engineer (2007-09), research assistant (2014-21)].
His research focuses on (1) contactless vibration measurements using cameras, (2) field and laboratory characterization of industrial structures, wood and eco-materials and (3) environmental noise reduction for humans and animals. He develops mobile learning-based teaching resources and is also experienced in science communication.
He is an award-winning cartoonist / scriptwriter, and does music/cooking during his spare time.
