Olivier (ing. PRT, Ph.D.), is Assistant Professor at Université de Sherbrooke (Qc, Canada). He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (2013, Sherbrooke) and an M.Sc. in Transportation Acoustics (2006, Le Mans, France). He has over 25 years of experience in acoustics/vibration research and development at various positions [technician (2002-04), engineer (2007-09), research assistant (2014-21)]. 

His research focuses on (1) contactless vibration measurements using cameras or lasers, (2) vibroacoustics of industrial structures and ecomaterials like wood, and (3) environmental noise mapping and reduction for humans and animals. 

Olivier has extensive experience in science communication and develops mobile learning-based teaching resources. He is also an award-winning cartoonist/scriptwriter, with covered topics ranging from acoustics to westerns and medicine.
